FAMILY ARCADE & MINI GOLF

When are the Tournaments?

Our Story

Forty years ago Karen and her brother Scott discovered Dell’s Penny Arcade.

Forty years ago Karen and her brother Scott discovered Dell’s Penny Arcade. Dell’s was the small mom and pop business their grandparents, Hank and Bette were looking for to help through semi-retirement. It was 1972 and Mr. Tee’s was born! The name is a shortened version of Tomaino, Hank and Bette’s last name. It was a clever play on words and easier for the kids to pronounce and remember.

Mr. Tee’s, was originally located at 18 W. 18th Street, North Beach Haven was owned and operated by Hank and Bette for several years until Hank became ill. The couple then turned the management of the business over to their daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Jack. The 1980’s and 1990’s saw LBI become a very popular vacation getaway. As the island grew in popularity, so did Mr. Tee’s. In 1983 Janice and Jack acquired a second location at Bay and Engleside Ave. Janice and Jack have been the face of Mr. Tee’s for thirty years. Family values, respect, and fun for all ages, have always been the most important part of this business. In 2008 our beloved Jack ( Mr. Tee #2) passed away. Janice’s daughter Karen now fills out the mother/ daughter team, keeping the family dream alive.
